Attorney Jon May defends individuals and institutions accused of serious violations of federal law, including: the foreign corrupt practices act, health care fraud; money laundering; mail and telemarketing fraud; mortgage fraud; and racketeering.

He tries cases before Federal District Courts throughout the United States and has represented individuals in appeals before various Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal. He has been counsel in cases that have been covered by the national and international media, including the defense of General Manuel Noriega. He has represented executives of national and multi‑national corporations in investigations by state and federal authorities, most recently under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act

His work has been featured in the Journal of the American Bar Association and his articles regularly appear in The Champion (the journal of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers) and Criminal Justice Magazine (the journal of the ABA Criminal Justice Section). Mr. May has spoken nationally and internationally at conferences on criminal justiceissues.

Mr. May was previously Chair of the White Collar Crime Section of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and he is a past Co-Chair of the Defense Function Services Committee of the Criminal Justice Section of the American Bar Association.
